The re-recording stage of the Multimediazentrum Halle offers excellent working conditions. In 2007, the one and only theatrical re-recording stage in Middle Germany was fully new equipped. Because of the perfect sound technical and acoustic equipment of the stage, the latter was honoured with the rare 'Dolby Premier Licence'. Just sit back and relax.

The core of the 200 sqm big studio is a state-of-the-art HARRISON MPC console, which has control over the complex technical system and is equipped with sophisticated automation modes. In the background, various players, effect devices and a big machine room help to attain the desired theater-surround-sound- experience. Watch your movie on the large screen, as it begins to breathe. It is here where the final sound for your DCP, the printmaster for your 35mm copy and the related MnE for the international distribution of your film are developed.

Decide for a professional theatrical re-recording at an advantageous price. Prove it for yourself!

The full potential unfolds under the hands of a skilled and experienced re-recording mixer. Graduate sound engineer Florian Marquardt is looking forward to meeting you and to being acquainted with your movie!

TV, DVD, Blu-ray Re-recordings & Theatrical Pre-mixes

For the distribution paths of your movie to DVD/Blu-ray or television sound formats, you need sound re-recordings with more minor dynamics and other technical specifications.

The main difference of a Bluray, DVD or TV re-recording in comparison with a theatrical re-recording is that it has reduced dynamic range. A theatrical re-recording is produced for big cinema halls and at a certain volume level, it should sound the same in all equally measured theaters. The dynamic range of this type of re-recording is very large; That is to say that the difference between loud and low areas can be very clear. As a matter of fact, this is used to create the desired movie experience in a theater. In comparison to this, a DVD or a Bluray is played back in relatively small living rooms. If one would play the theatrical mix at a ratio of 1:1, one would repeatedly have to turn the volume up and down, because the dialogues can suddenly become too loud or the atmospheres too low. Naturally, Home-Cinema dynamics are required here.

For technical reasons, a television re-recording has to be further reduced (TV dynamics). Moreover, it has only two channels, Dolby Surround or stereo (except for TV DD 5.1). As far as not only a mere TV re-recording is required, the mixes are usually produced subsequently from the different phases of the theatrical re-recordings (separated into dialogue, foleys, effects, atmospheres and music).

For TV re-recordings, there are two 5.1 television re-recording stages,
perfectly equipped with the latest Harrisson consoles (TRION and MPC). Here, too, you can expect a professional, competent and creative re-recording.
